2012 ACT Scores for VA

ACT scores for the class of 2012 have been released for each state in the US.  VA students did quite well and exceeded the national composite score.  For 2012, VA’s composite score was 22.4 while the US score was 21.1.  We did better than 38 states, equaled PA, and were “beaten” by Delaware, Minnesota, Rhode Island, Washington, Vermont, New York, Maine, New Jersey, Connecticut, New Hampshire, and Massachusetts.  Massachusetts did the best with a composite score of 24.1. Nationally about 52% of students take the ACT.  In Virginia, only 25% of students take the ACT.
