Winter Solstice and Lunar Eclipse to Occur on Same Night, for the first time in 456 years!

December 21st is the Winter Solstice, and for the first time in 456 years a lunar eclipse will occur on that night.

The eclipse will begin after midnight Eastern Time on Tuesday, with the main event starting at 1:30 a.m. ET and lasting until 5:30 a.m., when the moon reappears.
