Boundary Committee for New Bristow Elementary Schools Forming

Volunteers Needed for T. Clay Wood Elementary School & Linton Hall Road Elementary
School Boundary Planning Committee

The Prince William County Public Schools Office of Facilities Services is seeking volunteers for a Boundary Planning Committee in preparation for the opening of T. Clay Wood and Linton Hall Road Elementary Schools in September 2011.

The duties of the committee volunteers will be to evaluate current and projected elementary school enrollment, demographic, bus transportation, and housing growth data in order to prepare elementary school boundary recommendations for the School Board. The Office of Facilities Services will work with the committee to develop boundary proposals.

Parent volunteers are requested from Nokesville, Ellis, Cedar Point, Victory, Bristow Run, Glenkirk, Buckland Mills and Tyler Elementary Schools. Selection preference shall be given to parents and volunteers who are community leaders, PTO/PTA officers, and/or Advisory Council members.

The Boundary Committee will meet weekly (on Tuesdays at 7 p.m.), from November 2 through December 7 at Marsteller Middle School (Bulldog Hall). Two “Community Meetings” on the boundary proposals are scheduled for November 22 at 7 p.m. at Glenkirk Elementary School and December 6 at 7 p.m. at Victory Elementary School.

Please include your name, address, telephone number and e-mail address. The deadline to submit your name for volunteering is October 18.
