These are the academic standards for math and English which Virginia students will be expected to achieve, so you may want to look at them. National Science, History, and other standards will be arriving in the coming months.

Common Core Standards to Be Released for Public Comment March 8
The draft of the K-12 Common Core Standards is set to be released by the Common Core Standards Initiative Monday, March 8 for public comment. The standards will be posted at http://www.corestandards.org and the comment period is set to run for 3 weeks.
NASBE’s own Common Core Standards information site is located at http://www.nasbe.org/index.php/ccssi, which features links and the presentation delivered at the Northeast Area meetings by former West Virginia governor and the current president of the Alliance for Excellent Education, Bob Wise.
In addition, podcasts are now up from the Southern, Western, and Northeast Area meetings on common standards at http://nasbe.org/index.php/podcasts/909-podcast-general.
The last of NASBE’s regional meetings on the standards is for the Central Area. They will be held March 29-30 in St. Louis, MO. All states in the central region (regardless of if they are NASBE member states) are allowed to send three representatives with hotel and travel covered by the Gates Foundation.
